what do I have to do?

If you've registered with us, you can either purchase one of our products or have a free trial

what happens then?

As soon as you purchase a product or register a free trial, our team of backroom robots will get to work and build you your very own 'newsling' with its own unique install pack. This should become available for you to download within minutes, if not seconds. Once it is available, you may install it yourself and distribute it to your customers for them to install. You may want to put it on your website for easy download.

newsling?

We call it a newsling because, like a duckling, it has pre-programmed instructions and when it first comes to life, it attaches itself to and follows the first thing it sees. The first thing your newsling sees is our server, which will 'feed' it the information it needs for a successful life.

branding?

Of course, when the newsling pops up to notify the user of a new story, you want it branded in your company's livery. Unless you are happy using our branding, you should change the: text colour, background colour, images and links. You can change the branding at any time and the system will pick it up.

configuration?

This is where we configure how the newsling behaves, we can tell it:

• the location of the download site (unless you are using our servers)
• whether the user has the option to exit the newsling from the system menu or by pressing alt+F4
• the text to display when the user hovers the mouse over the newsling's icon in the system tray

You can change the configuration at any time and the system will pick it up.
